Our very own member Naomi Folkard (Ranked 23rd, World Ranking 67th) shot extremely well and finished in the top 8 at the Rio Olympics after getting in to the quarter finals.  On the way Naomi knocked out Ika Yuliana Rochmawati of Indonesia (Ranked 42nd, World Ranking 26th), Kaori Kawanaka of Japan (Ranked 9th and World Ranking 13th) and Ane Marcelle dos Santos of Brazil (Ranked 11th and World Ranking 64th).  In a difficult quarter final with blustery winds of up to 13 mph Naomi dropped just 3 points across 4 sets to be knocked out by the gold medalist Chang Hye-jin (Ranked 2nd and World Ranking of 6th).
