RLSAS Club Rules
- GNAS Rules of Shooting
- All senior members shall maintain an up to date copy of 'The GNAS Rules of Shooting'. (1 copy per household is adequate, if there is more than one member.)
- When shooting, either indoors or out, all members will follow strictly, the Rules of Shooting. Particular attention is drawn to Rule 103 (b), which with regard to solo shooting, states: "Any member shooting on their own is doing so at their own risk in respect of personal injuries."
- Members will at all times adhere to any safety rules approved by the RLSAS Committee.
- Junior Members (All Under 18 years of Age)
- Before a junior is accepted as a member of the club, a parent or legal guardian must sign an agreement between himself/herself and the club, regarding conditions of membership.
- A junior member must not be at a club venue unless accompanied by a minimum of two adult members, who agree that they are willing to supervise the junior. The only exception to this is that a parent, who is a member of the club, may supervise his/her own children on his/her own, whilst adhering to the GNAS Rules of Shooting and the RLSAS Club Rules.
- A junior of 12 years or under must be accompanied at all times while at a club venue by a parent or legal guardian.
- A junior of 13 years or above may be left at a club venue only when a specific arrangement has been made between the parent or legal guardian and two senior members of the club with regard to both that junior's supervision and collection.
- In a few instances it may be appropriate for an older junior to transport himself/herself from his/her home to a club venue. In such a case the junior must ascertain on arrival that there are at least two senior club members present who are willing to supervise him/her. If there are not, he/she must not shoot and is advised to leave the club venue immediately.
- RLSAS Property and Equipment
- All members will use their best efforts to ensure the safety and security of the property and equipment of the Club.
- All members will play an appropriate part in the maintenance of club property and equipment. (The club is a voluntary organisation, totally dependent on its members, for its health and welfare.)
- Membership Dues
- All shooting members shall also be members of GNAS, and a regional and county archery association.
- All subscriptions and membership payments shall become due annually on 1st September. A member who has failed to make the necessary payments by 1st October will cease to be a member.
- Communications to Members
- All members shall be entitled to ready access to the general communications of the Club, to be present at functions and events arranged by the Club and to receive such support and assistance as the club is able to offer.
- It is the responsibility of members to ensure that their up to date contact details are given to the Membership Secretary or Secretary.

- If an arrow is lost on the field, help the owner to find it.
- Always ask before joining another archer on a target. Permission will never unreasonably be withheld.
- Offer assistance in the moving of targets, and remember that pulling arrows is every archer's job.
- Shoot at distances which are within your capability to avoid spending excessive time in finding lost arrows.
- When shooting short distances avoid centring target faces on the middle of bosses if possible. The middle of a boss is its weakest part and it can be easily shot out. Bosses are very expensive. Equally, avoid centring targets over legs of stands, which can similarly be shot to pieces.
